Easy Vegan Spicy Kale Salad Wraps

Updated: Mar 10, 2022

Super simple and easy to make. These spicy kale salad wraps are not just healthy and filling, they're delicious.

I love eating salads in the summer but sometimes I want something that feels a little more filling. That's when I like to grab some extra large flour wraps and make a wrap. Having salad in a wrap makes me feel fuller but still feel super healthy at the same time.

Prepping your kale

Luckily when it comes to kale there are so many different ways to prep kale. I personally like to buy kale that is already chopped and bagged. I always purchase the bagged organic kale from Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. Although the bags says "Triple Washed" I always give it a good soak and wash in my salad spinner. if you don't use a salad spinner you should get one. A salad spinner is a huge bowl that comes with a strainer in it. To use it you I just remove the strainer and add the kale to the bowl and fill it with cool water. Then I like to add in some apple cider vinegar and a tablespoon of baking soda and swish it around rigorously then let it soak for a few minutes. After soaking it rinse it and give it a few spins in the salad spinner until it's dry. You will be left with squeaky clean, crisp, dry kale. I got mine from Marshall's and I love it. You can find it on Amazon.com

I always purchase the chopped bagged kale from Whole Foods. I typically use 1/2 a bag when I make a salad. If you can't find pre-chopped kale you can chop 2 bunches of loose kale.

Once it's chopped you can soak it in water with apple cider vinegar and baking soda. Once it's soaked just rinse it and give it a spin in the salad spinner to remove the excess water.

Once you give the kale a few good spins it will be nice, clean and crisp.

Once it's clean you can prepare the salad and the wrap!
