Thank God that over the last few years vegan cheese has made huge improvements. We now how a variety of delicious soy free cheese products that have really changed the game and have made a new world of creative recipes possible. This recipe is one of my new favorites and I'm sure you will love it too. I used the Whole Foods 365 Plant Based Alternative Mozzarella which is one of My Favorite Dairy Alternatives. I also used vegan egg roll wraps that I found at the grocery store. All I did was add a little cheese to the wraps, rolled them up and pan fried them in a little avocado oil until they were crispy and golden.
What you need
1 package of vegan mozzarella cheese
1 package of vegan egg roll or spring roll wraps
Oil for cooking
Your favorite marinara sauce for dipping
Lay your egg roll paper on a flat surface and brush the edges with warm water.
Add the mozzarella cheese to towards the center and gently but tightly roll them up.
Repeat the process with as many rolls as you like.
Place a skillet over medium heat and add in the oil.
Once the oil is hot carefully add in the rolls and cook them until they are crispy and golden on all sides.
