Pineapple Ginger and Basil Smoothie!

I can't live without pineapple, ginger or basil. I am constantly cooking with them. So I figured why not make them into a smoothie. This combo is my new favorite. It's bright and refreshing but not overpowering. If you love pineapple, ginger and basil you will absolutely love this one. The combination of the sweet pineapple with the crisp bite of ginger is divine, the basil gives it a perfect balance and rounds out the flavor.

All you need is:

about 4 cups of frozen pineapple

1 inch nib of fresh ginger

1 handful of spinach

1 small handful of fresh basil

4 cups of liquid (I always use water but feel free to use your juice of choice)

First Place all of the pineapple, ginger and liquid in your blender and blend until smooth. Pour about 75% of the mixture into a glass and place in your freezer. Next add spinach and basil into the blender with the remaining mixture and blend. Alternate pouring the mixtures into a glass and enjoy :-)
